I was truly honored to be part of the first-ever Stutsman/Barnes County Women’s Leadership Cohort and to share a little of my own story… the messy parts, the hopeful parts, and the parts I never would have chosen, but wouldn’t trade.

We talked about perspective.
We talked about pain and purpose.
We talked about what I love to call our odd privilege… the unexpected places where growth and calling sneak in when life doesn’t go according to plan.

I’m grateful to get to do what I do!

2026 is off to a great start! Thanks to the Mutual Insurance Association of Iowa for having me out for their annual managers meeting. We dove into the odd privileges that grant us perspective, as well as nerded out over geeky insurance topics 🤓

I promise there were people in the room - They all sat in the back 😂

We often need to be reminded that an attitude of gratitude quiets that voice of cynicism.

Ironically the wind also has way of affecting my voice 😂 editing tools made me sound like a robot in some spots, but the idea came through.
